Brewing Guide: French Press
The French Press produces an easy to achieve consistency by using fresh beans, weighing for accuracy, grinding the coffee properly and timing the process.
Large French Press
30 ounces water
53 grams coffee
Grind #6.0, steep time 3:30
Small French Press
9 ounces water
16 grams coffee
Grind #6.0, steep time 3:30
1. Put ground beans into the empty french press.
2. Pour water just off the boil over the grounds in the press and allow coffee to bloom.
3. Pat down the coffee bloom.
4. Place lid on and slightly press filter down to submerge the coffee under the surface.
5. At 3:30 minutes steep time, slowly press down on filter for 30 seconds.
6. Pour all coffee out of press and enjoy!
