Remaking the way we make things
Our goal is simple really, we’d like to leave our community, family, soil, economy, our world better than we received it. Here are a few of the ways we’re doing that:
- Intentional partnerships with local vendors who are committed to green practices
- Use environmentally friendly cleaning products
- Decreased shipping impact by sourcing much of menu locally
- Emphasize the use of ceramic vs. paper (ever wondered why we offer you a mug first? now you know)
- Smart, conservative water use – we intentionally reuse hot water and use cold water when possible
- Utilized recycled lumber in construction including materials such as doors from Habitat for Humanity
- We pride ourselves on low waste. In fact we divert 1,000lbs from the landfill to recycling monthly
- Bar is constructed using renewable bamboo counter tops
- When possible we utilize recycled paper products vs. new or bleached
- Installed economic toilet and faucets
- Recycle 90% of our waste including coffee grounds (want some?)
- Machinery is time programmed for efficiency
- Use low wattage compact fluorescent bulbs where capable
CREMA is committed to finding at least one new opportunity for improved sustainability every year. Have an idea for us? We’d love to hear it! Send it here.
