The beauty of local
CREMA proudly partners with local businesses and vendors. In fact over 95% of the menu is from right here in Nashville! We think local communities are key to the restoration and preservation of our society.
We are careful to choose purveyors that share our philosophy on food. All food items are made from scratch and contain no artificial ingredients, shelf stabilizers, or processed ingredients. Pictured at left are Dan and Ellen of Sweet 16th Bakery, our respected local partners supplying many of our delectable baked goods.
Artisanal Coffee
Espresso – A coffee brew method that emulsifies coffee and water into a tasty little shot of coffee.
Macchiato – Means to “mark” in Italian. The espresso is “marked” with a dollop of steamed milk.
Cortado – Means “to cut” in Spanish. The espresso is “cut” in half with steamed milk. Equal parts of espresso and steamed milk.
Con Panna – Espresso topped with CREMA’s homemade whipped cream
Cappuccino – A traditional European cappuccino is 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk, 1/3 foamed milk. Cappuccinos are traditionally served in smaller cups than lattes (5 ounce). We “cap” the espresso with microfoam. We do not spoon out your foam, rather gently pour your milk and foam as one entity .
Cafe Latte – Means coffee with milk in Italian. The differentor between latte and cappuccino is not only size, but also how the milk if steamed. It is aerated less to create a smaller amount of “foam” on the drink.
Mocha – Made with CREMA’s housemade chocolate sauce, espresso, and steamed milk. Our mocha is not as sweet as most, a perfect balance of delicate espresso and rich chocolate.
Baccanerra Mocha – Natural blackberry syrup, espresso, CREMA’s homemade chocolate sauce topped with steamed milk and whipped cream.
Cuban - First discovered during our founder’s college days at a small vietnamese restaurant in New York City when a nice lady served a “cuban” coffee. We put our own spin on it, using sweetened condensed milk, espresso, and steamed milk. Our most popular drink!
Americano - The Americano was made for all the American’s serving in the military in World War II who believed that espresso was too strong. Italians made an American version of drip coffee out of espresso, hence the Americano. Espresso shots watered down with hot water.
