About this coffee

One time, in Panama, we asked coffee producer Wilford Lamastas what his hobbies were outside of coffee. He looked at us like we'd dumped caramel apple-infused creamer into his cup: "There is nothing else," he memorably told us. And you can clearly taste the single-minded coffee-love in the definitely-not-caramel -apple-infused deliciousness of this coffee.

The Elida Natural, from Wilford's Elida Estate farm, is among the best natural processed coffees we've ever tasted. The coffee boasts stunning layers of juicy fruits --concord grape! fig! blackberry! -- and peaks with a spicy cinnamon finish. All this adds up to an explosive, evolving, fruit-forward coffee experience: one we've come to expect from the coffee-obsessed Lamastas family.

Brewing Recommendation

We recommend the French press to accentuate this coffee’s juicy body, but with a coffee this sweet and juicy, it’s hard to pick a brewing method it doesn’t taste great in.
